Culture in the Classroom

CENET provides the Culture in the Classroom program as a free service to area schools.  CENET works with local teachers and administrators to tailor each classroom visit to the age group and topic of interest.

Through their involvement in the program, students are able to learn from and interact with guests from around the world who visit classrooms to teach youth about their home country as well as to engage students in fun activities, such as Salsa dancing with an Ecuadorian or cooking with an Italian.

As the world continues to shrink, it is vital for our youth to develop global awareness and cultural understanding in order to better compete when they get older and enter the global workforce.  The Culture in the Classroom initiative provides youth with access to exciting learning opportunities and teachers with valuable international resources.

To learn more about this initiative or to schedule a classroom visit, please contact CENET.
