Culture in the Community

In an age of globalization, cultural sensitivity and understanding is vital for achieving peaceful solutions as well as for our nation's youth to be successful in an ever-changing global arena.

CENET's newest initiative is to foster "Culture in the Community".  CENET's goal is to stimulate interest in other cultures at a young age so that youth will continue developing cultural insight and global skills throughout high school and ultimately into adulthood.  The following programs are provided for the local community:

YOUTH PROGRAMS:

  • Culture in the Classroom - teachers and school administrators may schedule an international guest for a classroom or club (e.g., world sports modules, world cooking demos, international crafts).  Tailored programs for grades K-8.

  • G.O.  Camp:  Global Outlook Summer Camp - allow your child to experience a journey around the world in this summer camp providing global education.  Boys and girls entering grades 2-8.

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS:

  • Culture in the Classroom - teachers and school administrators may schedule an international guest for your classroom or club (e.g., foreign language, current events).  Tailored programs for grades 9-12.
